Savannah Rapids Regional Visitor Information Center

Inside the original Gatekeeper’s Cottage, our Visitor’s Center overlooks the picturesque Augusta Canal Headgates and the Savannah River, and is the only state certified visitor center in Columbia County. View a re-creation of the Lockkeeper's bedroom. You will also see a pictorial history of Columbia County and learn the significance of the Augusta Canal to the City of Augusta and the surrounding area.
